CPAP
Designing CPAP machine for apnea therapy. Designing PCB and programming STM32 ARM microcontroller. Air pressure was produced by BLDC motor driver so BLDC motor driver was designed and hall sensors and fault conditions were considered for accuracy and safety. Moreover, air pressure was accurately controlled by phasic and PID controller. Air flows to the patient’s mouth as soon as inhale is detected on the board. Automatic apnea detection was considered therefore attacks could be logged. The log is saved as a text report on an SD card implemented on the board for doctors’ convenience in monitoring patients. The patient’s appropriate pressure value can be set by the doctor and setting values and also apneas attacks would be shown on the TFT display of the machine.
